ASARA Membership
ASARA has two membership categories: individual membership and organization membership.
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

Individual membership is designed for SAR personnel who are not part of an organization membership or who prefer to join ASARA as an individual.
In addition:
A) Individual memberships stay current for one calendar year.
B) Individuals that join in November or December of a given year will have their membership continue through the following calendar year.

ORGANIZATION MEMBERSHIP

Organization membership is designed for organizations that would like to provide ASARA rights and privileges to each of their members on their active roster.
In addition:
A) Organization membership is good for one calendar year expiring on December 31st, no matter the month joined.
B) Organizations will pay dues according to the fee schedule below. Dues should be paid based on the organization’s roster number at the time of payment. That organization membership fee is good for the entire year no matter how their team’s roster numbers fluctuate. Updated team rosters will need to be submitted to ASARA as needed to note new team members.
C) Organizations that join ASARA will:
1) Fill out the organization membership form on the ASARA website.
2) Submit an organization roster pdf file at the time of joining with individuals contact information including: name, mailing address, phone number(s), email, etc.

Anchorage Nordic Ski Patrol

The Anchorage Nordic Ski Patrol (ANSP) is a non-profit organization of volunteers originally formed in 1972 by a few members from the nordic ski club who also were members of the Denali Ski Patrol. In 1976 the ANSP officially became a member of the National Ski Patrol. 30 years later, the 50 person roster is strong and full of both old and new faces. The training criteria and opportunities are extensive to be a National Ski Patroller affiliated with ANSP. Outdoor emergency care, mountaineering, avalanche, winter camping and CPR are some of the core class criteria. The primary mission of ANSP is to patrol local nordic trails, Chugach State Park, Hatchers Pass State Park, ski trains, Tour of Anchorage, and many others mountain ski tours and local ski races. We also support the community and participate in search and rescue missions primarily in Southcentral Alaska.
